HSTA Member Benefits

Members in good standing are eligible for participation in our regional events, our national STAR event, our "Just for Fun" and "non-events". Members will receive a membership packet including a membership card, a Blue Book, a pin, a patch, a decal and details about our growing list of benefits.

Members also enjoy the following benefits:

New Member Benefit
New members receive a certificate good for any 1 AMA sanctioned event (except STAR). Member must pre-registered to use certificate at an event.

Blue Book
Free with membership, this member directory is published annually and is the official membership guide of the HSTA. Remember that if during your motorcycling you have need of assistance, you can ask members in that geographical area who offer that kind of assistance by checking the assistance codes next to each member’s name in the Blue Book Membership Directory.

STAReview
Free with membership, this national newsletter is mailed to all HSTA members except members of household. It has information on upcoming club events, articles of interest, and free classified ads.
(Your state may publish it’s own newsletter, too.)

Annual Raffle for a new bike
Every year the drawing is held at STAR, our biggest event of the year, and one lucky HSTA member wins a brand new bike. How cool is that?

Dan Clark Safety Fund Program
Will reimburse a limited number (30 in 2007) of members 50% of the cost of safety equipment and training, up to $100.00 for each item. A drawing will take place at a selected HSTA event in the spring to pick the winners from the previous year. Those results and awarding of checks will take place at STAR of that year. You do not have to be present to win.

Member Assistance Partner (MAP) Program
The MAP program is designed to assist any HSTA member who would like to be temporarily teamed up with a veteran HSTA member. It might be for any one of the following reasons: new HSTA member, new to HSTA events, returning HSTA member, new rider, new to sport touring, uneasy due to a recent crash or close call, or would like to meet more HSTA members. MAPs will be teamed with riders of similar riding tastes and skills. Ask about this at the registration area of the event if you are interested.

Country Store
The Country Store provides the opportunity to purchase motorcycle related goods - HSTA logo items and more!

Sustaining Member Benefits
Sustaining members receive $20 in "STARbucks" (HSTA currency), and a 10% discount on all purchases at the Country Store. They also receive a 10% discount on HSTA event registration fees, receive the STAReview by first class mail, and are identified by a silver membership card.  

Life Member Benefits
Life members receive a special T-shirt, a 10% discount on Country Store products, a 10% discount on HSTA event registration fees, receive the STAReview by first class mail, and are identified by a gold membership card.

Dealer Members
Dealer Members receive regular benefits plus special mention in the Blue Book.

Merchant Members
Merchant members receive regular benefits plus advertising in the STAReview and the Blue Book.
